[ Gosai Ghat - If she could swim.]

This is a beauty spot where films are shot or shooting is done.River Kaveri flows gently inviting you to take a dip if you are a swimmer as otherwise it is a risk with no crowd around for help in case you need. The water also is better than other places of the river in and around SriRangaPatana 15 K M from MYSORE.I wanted to know who was the Gosai and where he lived to a lone aged river supervisor,he said the word Gosai means Sanyasi and that it is not the name of any individual, more than 300 years ago Gosai's from North India Kashi ( Varanasi)were here and they had stayed here after building the temple of Kasi Visweswars and Sri.Parvathi and went away after Tipu had come to SriRangaPatana. There are other interesting spots here and they are,Tipu's summer Palace,Tipu's family burial site,Sangam where the Kaveri Joins and the most holy temple of Goddess Sree Nimishamba.

[ Madur Vada.]

I was born here where for over a century this 'Madur Vada' was born. Our Present Minister for Foreign Affairs was also born here.
This is a small town you get if you go by road or train and for all travelers on this route this Vada is a must to eat and enjoy the crisp bite.
The Govt transport bus stops only here for all to have their Tea,Coffee or meals with this Vada to go with.
Recently a new eatery has come up which is clean and well kept at this Bus Stand.
I do not know about the Railway Station as it's or it was LaLu controlled all these years.
The Present Railway Minister may prefer Rasgola for Vada.
We have to dance to the tune of this shameless Ministers and the Railway officials who have spoiled our train to Mysore in not providing us with a/c coaches or fast trains a distance of 130 KM with out a single traffic jam or a road Hump can be traveled in our Maruti 800 in One and half hours but the train takes 4 to 5 hours.
Even by road with over a dozen traffic jams and nearly a hundred road Bumps or Humps or Road Breaks takes 2 hours in small cars,my Maruti Alto.

[ My Chocolate & Cacao,it's benifits.]

Cacao and chocolate was widely used by ancient civilisations as currency and was seen as a 'food for the gods.'

Early colonial records indicate how cacao was used as a medicine and acted as a carrier in the administration of other remedies in the 1500's. The medicinal value of cacao was in its ability to treat weak patients with a variety of dis-ease. It was particularly known to improve digestion and stimulate kidney and bowel function. Additional diseases that responded to treatment using cacao was anaemia, fatigue, fever, low sex drive, respiratory troubles, poor appetite and low breat milk production. In addition to the cacao bean, the oil/butter was used in the treatment of skin problems including eczema, psoriasis and burns. Today, cacao oil is considered a beauty aid in its use as a skin moisturizer, lubricating agent and when combined with the cacao bean, is used to make the chocolate confectionery we're familiar with. All chocolate is derived from the cacao bean/seeds. Nicknamed 'black gold' by the Spanish, it's no mystery that chocolate continues to captivate our taste buds with its rich bittersweet dance on our palette.

With over 300 identifiable chemical compounds, cacao is one of the most complex and pleasurably satisfying foods on the planet. In its raw form, cacao contains anandamide (a euphoric substance), arginine (a natural aphrodisiac), neurotransmitters that stimulate and balance brain activity, tryptophan (an anti-depressant), antioxidants and other beneficial compounds known to have rejuvenating and anti-ageing elements. Cacao is high in the mineral magnesium, essential for helping the heart to pump blood efficiently, building strong bones, and lowering blood pressure. In fact, the strong desire for chocolate during the female menstrual cycle may be related to cravings for magnesium, a mineral with calming qualities. Cacao is a good source of the beauty mineral sulphur, responsible for healthy skin, nails and hair. In todays culture, chocolate is used as a gift for occasions such as St Valentines Day, Easter, Birthdays and Christmas etc. Many of us are likely to consume a little chocolate everyday for its mood boosting effects in an attempt to escape from the stress of working life. Chocolate satiates our appetite for pleasure like no other substance. Is it any wonder that 50% of women prefer chocolate to sex? The portability and availability of chocolate makes it the perfect private pleasure to enjoy anytime, anywhere.

With the revival of films like 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory' and 'Le Chocolat', chocolate lovers everywhere got to indulge their fantasies, inspired by the film industry. It's safe to say that Johnny Depp and Chocolate create a unique and compatible partnership most women would be happy to personally explore! Yes, chocolate and sex go hand in hand and when packaged in shiny red and gold, make a highly attractive and stimulating friend no one wants to be without.

A symbol of sensuality, any male suitor is wise to offer a gift of chocolate to any prospective female; a delightful box of dark edibles all wrapped in decorative gold foil will put a smile on any chocolate-loving females face. Cacao has always been associated with fertility and love by indigenous cultures.

The versatility of chocolate has allowed us to expand our repertoire of how we can engage ourselves with its intense flavours and textures. From mouth-watering rich cream gateaux to the velvety texture in truffles, there is nothing we can't do with chocolate; it inspires us to create more and more mouth-watering variations to satisfy our appetite. In fact, one can devote one's whole life to becoming a chocolate 'creative' of distinction.

Chocolate will always be an affordable luxury that almost anyone can indulge regardless of class or stature. We can all taste what the Aztecs and Mayans tasted and we will always be grateful for their cultivation of the revered and sacred cacao bean. Long may we continue our passionate, blissful affair with this divine gift from the cacao tree.

[ My Temple - At Srirangapatana.]

Having found my school it was not a task for me sitting in a taxi to find my temple. The only problem was the taxi driver who went on cursing silently as I went on giving him directions 360 deg and not finding the temple even though it was just visible to us.Finally we zeroed on the place to find that it was closed for the priest to have his lunch and perhaps his siesta at noon so we said our prayers that is me and my husband.
It was so near that there would be no problem to go again.
My husband asked me what was it I was asking God during my visit to temples,I told him that it was just not possible for me to remember but one thing for sure it was always to ask God to make my task easy in all my exam papers to answer properly and see I pass in my exams.
Here is that temple I saw finally.
I hope to visit this temple again to see Lord Eswara & Parvathi at this holy place Srirangapatana.

[ My School - It was Tipu Sultan's warehouse office.]

It was by my compulsion so often that I made my husband take me to the famous Town of SriRangaPatana 15 KM from Mysore towords Bangalore. He did take me there and we did find the school that was once the officees of the Ware House that stored food items for Tipu Sultan's army inside the fort surrounded by river Kaveri which took a deviation at one point and joined at another about a KM away. The school I did remember was having a big compond but that was not there and there was no girl's school as old as 50 years in any place except this deserted building which was the only place that was a girl's school 50 years back. The school was shifted from the ware house office to the ware house as the Heritage Building was neglected by our monopolistic Archelogical Survey Of India known as ASI( Always Sleeping Indians) of our country. They are sleeping becouse they do not know what to do there being a Heritage Site every 100 KM in our country and our politicians have the gaint country's problem to see to besides their siblings future and indeed to their own.It was in this school around 50+years ago I studied my primary education for a short period a stop gap befour my daddy could get a transfer and we got relocated to a big city for my further studies.Oh my school building let some body renovate it.
I am A.N.Sharada at this school a 6 year old girl.

[ Gayatri Mantra.]

The ancient Mantras that heal
ॐ भूर्भुवस्वः ।
तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं ।
भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि ।
धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥
The Gayatri Mantra is the most revered mantra in Hinduism. It consists of the prefix :oṃ bhūr bhuvaḥ svaḥ ॐ भूर्भुवस्वः, a formula taken from the Yajurveda, and the verse 3.62.10 of the Rigveda (which is an example of the Gayatri meter). Since all the other three Vedas contain much material rearranged from the Rig Veda, the Gayatri mantra is found in all the four Vedas. The deva invoked in this mantra is Savitar, and hence the mantra is also called Sāvitrī.

Ever wondered what is the significance or importance of Mantra. or the sacred ancient vedic hymns?? Were they like 'keys' that would unlock the sacred pathway leading to a world beyond the unseen? Lets try to get some answers using scientific and ancient wisdom -

There are all kinds of frequencies and vibrations all around us. There are frequencies we see (such as light waves), hear (sound waves), or feel, and others that are beyond our ability to sense, such as gamma rays, infrared, or radio and television frequencies. In fact, the ancient Vedic texts of India explain, in summary, that this whole universe is the production or manifestation from particular vibrations that cause a change from the spiritual energy into the material energy. And all these frequencies effect us in many ways. For example, we may hear music that can be soothing and peaceful, or that is abrasive and irritating. Or there may be frequencies that we have to deal with on a more regular basis, like the noise we hear when working in a factory, or the sounds of downtown traffic.

Walk through a factory. The noise and vibrational level of the frequencies that you hear and feel are not attractive. In fact, they may be damaging to your hearing and necessitate the need for wearing ear plugs. Being around that kind of noise, which are lower vibrations of themselves, can make you restless or agitated in due time, tend to pull your consciousness down in a way that makes you think in very basic terms. They can make your mind become absorbed in the lower modes of thinking, like simply desiring to satisfy your senses, wanting to go to the bar after work to drown your thoughts, or thinking of whatever will give you the easiest thrill. In other words, exposure to low vibrations tends to produce low consciousness simply by your exposure to them. Let's explain this a little more..

The science of vibrations and frequencies and how they effect people is something that has been around for thousands of years. We can still find evidence of this in the ancient Vedic texts of India. These explain not only the results of using the frequencies of words and mantras, but also supply instructions in some cases. The sages of ancient India used it to produce various results in the rituals they performed, and from the mantras they would recite. If the mantras were recited in particular ways, certain amazing results would take place, including changing the weather, producing certain types of living beings, or even palaces. Others used it to produce weapons, like the brahmashtra weapon, which was equal to the modern nuclear bombs. Specific mantras could be attached to arrows, with the sound causing powerful explosions when the arrow reached its target. Others used the science of vibrations to bring their consciousness to higher levels of perception, or to enter spiritual reality.

We can see the results of exposure to certain frequencies in other ways as well. Even now there has been research that has provided discoveries on the use of frequencies. They have worked with plants, exposing them to various kinds of music. Plants would thrive when exposed to classical music, while they would languish or wither when around heavy rock music. However, considering the nature of the mostly unenlightened society in which we live, some of these discoveries have not been for the benefit of the world and are quite scary to think of the results that may happen.

There has been proved to be a psycho-physiologica l sensitivity in animals and humans to magnetic and electrical fields in extremely low frequencies (ELF) corresponding to brain waves. These ELF, which can penetrate anything, have made it possible for the military to have a world-wide communication system with its submarines, which can be situated in any part of the world.

Man is a bio-cosmic transducer, a transmitter and receiver as well, and that somehow our brain waves can lock on and modulate with the earth's electromagnetic field, the Universal Magnetic Field (UMF), as Tesla called it. Research has shown that altering these electro magnetic fields can influence the brain waves of cats and monkeys. Humans are also affected.

Anything above eleven hertz produces a general range of agitation and discontent. High voltage power lines throw off 50 to 60 hertz, and there's been concern about what they can do to people who live near them. Some feel that such lines, or even the use of such items as electric blankets, can cause cancer because of the unnatural magnetic field to which the body is exposed. Researchers have concluded that humans are electrical people. For example, our hearts can start or stop due to appropriate electrical impulses. The use of pacemakers is an example of helping maintain a steady heartbeat. Thus, electro magnetic radiation could be the most harmful pollutant in our society. There is strong evidence that cancer and other diseases can be triggered by electromagnetic waves.

There are machines that use frequencies for beneficial use. There is a medical device called a Multiple Wave Oscillator, first developed by a French researcher and improved by solid state electronics. It used a miniature Tesla system consisting of two copper coils. When activated, a magnetic field is generated between the two coils and the frequencies can be adjusted for the electricity that flowed from one coil to the other.. The result is multiple waves of inherently good frequencies to help heal various parts of the body. Sore knees or torn muscles can be placed inside the magnetic fields for a few minutes at a time, helping it to heal much faster than with conventional methods.

Researchers have found that frequencies under seven hertz create a general feeling of relaxation and well being, known as the alpha state. The most beneficial frequency on earth is said to be the 6.8 hertz frequency. Interestingly, the Pyramid at Giza has a constant frequency of 6.8 hertz running through it. Although researchers have studied it, they don't know where it comes from or why in such an ancient structure. The Nadha Brahmam "Ohm" or "ॐ" or in Modern terminology Schumman resonance has a close significance Aum corresponds to the strongest of the schuman resonance among all other bio magnetic fields. We can relate the seven different chakras in body to these sounds and also with Schumann Resonances of earth, ie, 7.83, 14, 20, 26, 33, 39 and 45 Hertz of earth. We all know 7.83 hz being the strongest of all.

ॐ - 7.83Hz
Gam - 14hz
Hleem - 20Hz
Hreem - 26Hz
Kleem - 33Hz
Krowm - 39Hz
Sreem - 45Hz

This points to the idea that the ancients knew the importance of frequencies and how to use them in order to provide an atmosphere for attaining a peaceful state of mind for entering higher states of consciousness and perception of spiritual reality. The use of yoga has utilized this principle for as long as it had been known--many hundreds of years. Concentrating on the steady breathing, as in hatha-yoga, is a means of leveling and harmonizing the electrical impulses of the body and the beating of the heart. Invoking the alpha state by a natural means allows one to also reach a vibrational state in which the consciousness can enter higher levels of being and perception. The body is not only conducting the more balanced frequencies, but it begins to generate them as well. It is as if the body and mind are creating its own atmosphere in which it can further its more spiritual development, with or without the proper atmosphere around it. Building structures, like the pyramids and pyramid-like temples, which are common in such places as India and Central America, may provide the assistance for doing that, along with the physical exercises of yoga and the use of prayers, mantras, or rituals. By implementing such things on a regular basis in one's life, it would increase one's peaceful existence, bring about a higher state of consciousness, and insights into a level of reality beyond ordinary sense perception. In other words, it would naturally take one closer to the Truth of our existence. It would, as Tesla was hoping, bring the peace that would come from a natural consequence of universal enlightenment

A key point in this regard is the ancient use of mantras, as already mentioned earlier. Not only could certain results be attained by the proper use of vibrations in sounds, but even today the use of particular mantras are known for calming the mind, lowering blood pressure, relieving one from unnecessary anxieties by changing one's focus in life, and so on. It is also understood that certain mantras and prayers, such as the chanting of the spiritual names of God, bring to one the transcendental vibration of the spiritual world from where it comes. This means it is like a conductor, bringing the spiritual energy and frequencies that come from the transcendental strata.

Thus, by absorbing one's consciousness in the sound vibration of these names of God, it will do several things, such as alter and improve the electrical impulses that are generated by the body, and help defend oneself from the negative impulses that one may encounter. In this way, it helps create a peaceful attitude within the individual and a healthier disposition. It also prepares one's consciousness for perceiving higher levels of reality, opens one up to the spiritual world, gradually reveals one's true spiritual identity, which would also allow one to see the unity between all people. It also harmonizes one's existence with nature, and even begins to rekindle one's real relationship with the Supreme Soul, God. Once the higher vibration of the spiritual realm is invoked on a regular basis in this way, and is opened for its use among the people in general, the chances for world change become enormous.

Naturally, this may not happen immediately. One needs to be able to concentrate on those spiritual sounds appropriately. . This means to rid oneself of the clutter in one's mind. Only by purely focusing on the sound of the holy names can one truly feel its power, and open its potential. This is why there is a need for living a simple and honest life, and developing sincerity and devotion. It makes such a difference in being able to focus on the chanting of these spiritual prayers and mantras with feeling. Then one gives up that clutter which gets in the way of truly hearing the sounds and allows them to have a deep affect on one's life. That is when the deep changes and insights can begin to take place. When the general masses of people begin to participate in this process, that is when the collective vibrations around the world can begin to bring social changes that will help lead all people to a higher and more peaceful state of being. The general frequencies that we generate and receive will then naturally be of a harmonious and spiritual nature.

[ Try Test Your Right Foot.]

Interesting...

Try This.

HOW SMART IS YOUR RIGHT FOOT ?

You have to try this please, it takes 2 seconds. I could not believe this!

It is from an orthopaedic surgeon..... This will confuse your mind and you will keep you trying over and over again to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't. It is pre-programmed in your brain!

1. While sitting in front of your computer, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.

I told you so! And there's nothing you can do about it!

[ Beijing not Bangalore.]

We in Bangalore viewed our News on NDTV as usual and Breaking News it was the President of United States of America speaking that companys creating Jobs in Bangalore would pay higher taxes than those who created Jobs in Buffolow.
He could have added Beijing but he was perhaps advised not to say so.Today's News paper say that for America Outsourcing will prove 50% dearer for US cos and Mr.Obama's Tax plan will Act as a Dampener.
The News paper further said 'Indian firms will gain'.
The IT industry in Bangalore believes President Obama, despite his tough talk, cannot stop the reality of outsourcing.Politics has a lot to do with this
'Bangalore torpedo'.One CEO even said the President's move smacks of US arrogance.
US cos will have to outsource as the man power needed will be an issue in US.
Regardless of whether the Tax is levied or not,US companies will have to outsource to remain globally competitive.
Bangalore will have to worry about Beijing as China is gearing itself to overtake
the outsourcing in the next couple of years.

[ My Home - 4 ]

This is "My Home".

Where can you find the house full of Books which is left by my children who have studied from LKG to graduation, their books kept well secured in shelf's,copies of various articles, letters from various universities, their files of all sorts, their photos from kids to parenting and their kid in Blogs,Videos and innumerable artifacts of their childhood.
All items stored and if possible labeled.Arranged in all shapes and forms to almost resemble like a junk to a stranger.
Their college Final year project reports in safe custody of their mother, who went after them from kindergarten to college and felt happy that her efforts were well rewarded by their success in full education required for a firm footing in the corporate world.
The Motorbikes that were used by them is stored for ever.
Their clothes from diapers to Wedding dress kept in steel cupboard or trunks.
The computer left here and on which I am writing all my 5 Blogs since over 7 years. The Music system and World space radio parked here.
Their Maruti Alto car which we are using.
The Saree's of my daughter which she may never wear are used by My wife.
Their kitchen and furniture left behind in My Home when they left the country.
They are all looking at us,My Wife and Myself keep talking to each other as to how on earth these things could be replaced.
When they visit us all they have left all that they were using is a Junk according to them.To me they are my sweet memories.
All this and many more left in " My Home ".
My Home is a place where I have the freedom to do what ever I feel like doing, mostly sitting depressed before the PC Monitor and gazing at some web site,Blogging this and that in textiles, reading, visiting my room upstairs to renovate the paintings that I have done in the past and of course eating.
There is nobody except my wife to tell me something which I may do or I refuse to do.Mostly I do what ever she says though.
I keep calling my old friends over phone and chat for few minutes which won't be more than ten minutes.
Strangly most of my friends avoid to talk to our common friends.
When I asked my friend as to why he is not calling our common friend'X' his reply was he is not calling why on earth I should bother.
Some times I feel, that it is such a nice idea to just walk away with my wife and keep "My Home" locked.
Easyly said than done no one can do it in a city like Bangalore. If at all you return you may not find your sweet home.
You are in your Home, you call "My Home",till you go to your Home from where you came from that Home.
This is My Home Sweet Home.
My Brother has kept many things of My Home or "My Fathers Home"in his Home as he stayed in one place after the death of my parents, while I had to travel with bag and baggage all over south India and Maharashtra.I did not opt for anything since I considered that what belonged to me is as good as his since he was my only younger brother,My sisters never bothered over anything, since their husbands could afford anything.
My Home,Your Home,Their Home,That Home,This Home but all have come from One Home from some where.
That is "Our Home".
That is also "My Home".

[ My Home - 3.]

I should say Our Home and not my
home because here my family lives and
not me alone.
Having said that my children are living
separately and they are not living in
my country.
They have their home and this My Home
they still
can call My Home or our home.
I don't know what they wish to call
My Home or Our Home.
They did say you have your Home and
we will have our Home.
So what have we Got.?
Now we have how may My Homes.
1 )My Son's Home.
2 )My Daughter's Home.
3 )My Daughter in law's Home,which is
also my Son's Home.
4 )My Son in law's Home,which is
also my Daughters Home.
They all go by the common name My Home.
Which is the Home Common to all Homes,
it's My Home.
The Home where all of us were
living except my Son in Law.
My Son in law used to visit us,
I mean my Daughter frequently.
My Daughter in law was visiting us
I mean my Son for many years,
lived with us for few years, were
in love secretively and my
Daughter in law married my son
or the other way.and were Gone
soon after marriage living my
daughter,my wife and me
and they left to seek
their future else where and
are living happily in their Home.
My Daughters marriage was also
similar but slightly different in the
sense my Son in law was not
staying with us.He had his Home.
He visited us very rarely but
was working in the same company
as my Daughter's.
My Home is the place where all
of us were parking our self
with out a parking fee.
My Home is therefore a place
of past memory as they all have
left some memento and that
you can't find it in their home.
We visited their Home and sure
we have left our memento their,
that would be Just the Guest Room
we stayed,which they can say
our parents stayed in this
room when they visited Our Home.
When I say Come to My Home
it carries so many hidden memories.
Sweetest hard to forget memories.

[ Who will be Our next PM.Comment of a indiblogger.

[ My Home - 2 ]

It's not that my father did not leave
his home to his children
that I have made a Home.
There are more reasons than that,
my Job was not a secure Job.
Though I did resign several times
and was never thrown out by any employer,
my worry was where do I keep
my Wife and Kids if I were to be
thrown out from a Job,if that should
happen,I was very confident of
getting another Job but that
involved traveling to all the textile
capitols of the country and it
was just impossible to do that.
The need for a Home was therefore
a necessity and not a do or die question.
Even assuming that this was not
going to happen there was another
question of where to go on long
summer holidays when my kids would
want to visit Bangalore first and
all others if they ever want,
to go next, as all the action
was in Bangalore for them.
All Friends,Relatives,
my parents in law,very dear
to my son(my daughter was
still a baby),The Cinema Theaters,
The Restaurants,The Shopping
Centers at Brigade Road and
Commercial Street being most
sought after,Our family's
favorite "West End"
later it was "TAJ WEST END".
Everything at Bangalore.
Therefore I needed our own
Home and could not
stay in any relative's or
my F i l 's place,not that we
were unwelcome in any place
it was my attitude.
So where do I stay.
I wanted "MY HOME"
It's not all that is there
to me,there is more
than that to call a place,"MY HOME".

[ I am worried Maya.]

Maya went
back to her
home just
under
two months.
She sees us
through
Skype
over
internet
and smiles.
We do not
know if she
remembers us.
We feel she
recognizes
us because
she smiles.
It is hard to know that
she knows us as her
someone she has seen.
She smiles many times
at many things.
We have seen her smile
at children playing in
the street.
She smiles even at the
flowers in our garden.
Most fascinating was
her smile with the group
of street Dogs ever
present here,
in front of our house.
It is hard to know if
she remembers us
because of her smile
over internet on her Dad's
presented 19 inch
ViewSonic Monitor.
Whatever be the
cause of her smile,
it gladdens our heart.
There is a worry
if she remembers us.
No one can tell.
No power can say,let alone God.
He never speaks though.

[ My Home ]

My Home,it's a
place where I stay.
It can be also the
place where I was Born.
It can also be
my ancestral home.
Would I Like a
Independent home.
I did not have a
choice for a hi-tech Flat.
Should I take it in a
Rural place.
Or take it only in
Urban area.?
Away from the busy area.
There are many
reasons selecting a place.
Some have no choice in selecting
the area they prefer for their home.
There are people who have made
their home away from home.
Far away from the place of
their birth, their mother land as we call.
It is in a country
where they were not born.
That can be in a different
place having it's own culture
very different from their own.
My point is where is your " Home ".
When you say Come to "My Home".
What is " My Home " then.?
" My Home ", I purchased and
renovated, later I built the first Floor.
I did not stay in my Home till
I quit my Job and it was a Chosen
Retirement for me.Few years
I did stay away from" My Home "
till the the kids could stay
on their own feet, also get married.
Both my kids after getting married
left us (that is my wife and me)
and settled in a foreign land,
Now my wife and me are together and
this place I stay is " My Home ".
Updated 16-04-09
Why is it called my Home.
Every Brick in this House is a sweet Memory.
I purchased this house
from my hard earned money
After I purchased,a House
Warming Function was to be held.
My sister did a face lift
and made it look nice.
We did Homa & Pooja and all
my relatives and friends had come,
there was a feast for all.
We could not stay in
this House as I was in Kerala
in my Company provided
Bungalow inside the 15 Acre Compound.
My friend arranged it to be
let out on rent to few bachelors.
I constructed a Garage soon.
We frequented our visits,
whenever I had to come to
Bangalore on Official duties.
We came to see the house, once
we brought 6 coconut tree saplings
and planted it.It is now 70 feet tall
and is yielding 400 coconuts per year.
This if sold would cover our Property Tax.
I was Born in Bangalore so I must
have my place to stay.
How could I as it was Let out for Rent.
I constructed the First Floor with
One Room a Small Prayer Room and
a Bathroom Like in my Hotel
where I used to stay.
Myself,My wife,My Son and Daughter
would stay here when ever we
used to come on Summer Holiday's,
as staying in Hotel or in
my Father in Law's house
was not comfortable for my purse
and my prayers that I did daily.
This was soon upgraded to
another two rooms to be used as
Kitchen and Dining Rooms.
Now my Son was a tall Boy so
he used to sleep in the Dining Room
where a Folding Bed was used,so it
was a Dining Room for us and at
Night it was my Son's Bed Room.
It was a full fledged house used
only once a year on summer holidays.
The Plan of the house was
complete with a open space
of 220 sq ft of open Terrace.
This was soon made as
a A/C Bed Room with Bath & Toilet
and in front of it was a
Dressing Room Like in the Hotel
where we used to stay.
All this took over
3 years to come in one shape
as First Floor.
It was my Father's Wish that I
must have a house in Bangalore
as he had to sell our ancestral
house to clear the Loan he had taken
from the Bank to construct a
First Floor but instead had
given it to a big money lender
as deposit at unimaginable
interest and the money lender
went Bankrupt soon and my Father
lost the money and our
Ancestral Home.He was so much
hurt till his death that he had
lost our ancestral HOME which
he could not keep for his children
to do what they wanted.

It take many nails to build crib, but one screw to fill it.

[ She walks the talk through P.C ]

It took one year and two months for my grand daughter to walk,my wife and myself complimented our self that our grand daughter had bet my son and daughter by one month as they both took one year and three months to walk.
Our son had sent a video of our grand daughter walk like a sumo wrestler and we watched her video several times over and over,I could not recollect how our son had walked but I remembered how our daughter walked and jumped. Our grand daughter made us rejoice her as well as our kids walk a great feat that was such a delight to us both.
Our daughter was not a problem as we had house maid and boy to look after while our son had a part time house maid to look after and it was my wife's hard work as she had to feed him and me a pain in the neck for my wife for anything that I ate the breakfast, lunch or dinner had to be of perfect taste.
My wife had never cooked all her life before she married me and had no support in the kitchen while my son was born.
One day she gave Idly for breakfast and it was very hard and I had thrown it to the wall where it was stuck like a stamp. My son hates me for that act of mine even today.
My grand daughter was a good no problem baby for her daily feeds and it was only few times we saw her disliking the food may be on account of indigestion or change of place.
My wife's wish to carry her was very strong but her left knee joint was a victim of arthritis and it was not possible for her to hold her for more than few minutes.
Even my limit was just 30 minutes only and I had to sit down for a few minutes to rest my knees

[ A paisa for my thoughts.]

My Grand daughter is one year and one month today counting the day on which her birthday was celebrated, though her actual birthday was later in the month. My grand daughter celebrated her first birthday in her father's home town here on 8th February'09 in Bangalore where my son was born.My wife was here with her parents when my son was born,I was not so lucky to be present at that point of time or later for over 6 months except visiting him and my wife from time to time.
I miss my grand daughter's presence and I do not know when I will see her again, though my son has invited me and my wife to go over and be with our grand daughter for as long as we can brace the weather at that place. He stays at a very nice place,if I could say it is a 5 star place with its own comforts and discomforts.
Comforts being the feast to the eyes and discomforts being fast to our life style.
I miss my grand daughter in so many ways and she keeps smiling at me in my thoughts where ever I go in my home or just out side my home.Even when I do my daily prayers when she too would be present and at the end of my prayers while doing Arathi ringing the hand held bell. The smoke from the Agarbathi would attract her and she would try to catch the smoke and she would also hold the bell and keep ringing till our Arathi was completed.
I wish I could see her through SKYPE but my son has no time to spare for this childish wish of me and my wife.
My wife wanted to give her grand daughter the traditional oil bath as it was given by her mother to my son but that was unthinkable.
I wanted to feed her meal but that was the prerogative of my son and daughter in law.
I wanted to take her to the park where myself and my wife go for our evening walk, the park has a corner for kids to play. Here many persons of my age bring their baby grand child's and I just watch them and try not to stare at them too often.
My wife keeps viewing our grand child in hundreds of pictures and few videos that are in my PC,a gift from my son with a new 19 inch monitor ViewSonic.
Our grand daughter has a rare method to play, anything she plays with must make a sound, even if its a plastic carry bag or a empty plastic water bottle.Once I was going around the house carrying her as my son and daughter in law were busy and my wife wanted a coconut to make Chutney for our meals. The coconut was in the large 220sqft car garage behind a heap of junk kept there since we had 4 coconut trees and lot of coconuts were available and to retrieve it I had to put my grand daughter on the ground. My fears of her not getting out of my hands vanished and she was glad to get down since she had seen the plastic bags. The moment she was put down on the floor she pulled the plastic carry bags kept in a cover and started pulling out each cover which made a sound, there were plenty of plastic bags and I had no problem in getting the coconut out under the junk which took quite sometime.
The picture above is her playing with the empty plastic carry bags.
My grand daughters name is Maya. Our delight and rejoice.

[ Maya we miss you so much.]

My Grand Daughter was here from USA for her first birthday and is going back tomorrow leaving us in a Happy Sad mood.I had no experience of playing with a baby just about to complete the first year.I was amazed at the baby's ability to communicate with the family members in one sign language followed by a particular sound and another with the strangers by her strange expression of look or smile depending on factors such as looks, body language, dress and her own moods. She was more comfortable with her father, which was a blessing for her mother. The roads in India always filled to the brim with various vehicles, animals, men women and school going children, unlike in USA was a virtual treat for her and would make me stand for any length of time. She always had a liking for flowers and would pluck any number of flowers not bothered if it is in hand and would just look at the fallen flowers with telling from her eyes ( you are unfortunate ) a look of pity. The training of her parents in food and toilet habits was amazing for baby of her age.She was so fond of playing with water that her father my son closed the swimming pool worth a fortune to make. She would play with any toy given to her testing it's properties and then just throw it down and look at it with a particular look indicating you are fired. If we tried to lift it and give it to her,she would again throw it no matter how many times you give. What ever she was holding would be of Iron Grip.If you try to take it one shout you would have a heart attack. To climb up and get down the stair case she had her own in born skill which was amazing to watch. She never fell down.Pushing the Godrej chair from wall to wall making appropriate turns like driving a car was no problem. It was we who should keep worrying if she will make it.Voice recognition was her another gift along with names.
Her father my son was very fussy in whatever she was given to eat,as I was allowed to take her out for a walk when ever my son wanted to have a break, I managed to take her to a street footpath and and give her a which she would eat with such funny faces you can't see them for a million dollar. One day I gave her a slice of that was a pure delight to watch her make
her face look like a Chinese baby.
Her other hobby was watching stray Dogs, there were 6 of them right in front of my compound right from there birth and they knew me as I used to talk to them quite often, there was no harm but I was and she too
was unwilling for a touch. She would talk to them in her own language.
My wife used to sit by her side and say some funny rhyme JEE JEE JEE in different tones and she would swing her body back and forth sitting on my wife's bed.
She does that even now sitting in her home in USA from the speaker phone turned on if my wife sings that rhyme.
The wonder of all was when I almost fell down on the footpath due to my walking backward in order to allow Maya to see whatever she was seeing so as not to strain her neck.My foot got twisted and due to Maya's weight I did manage to balance and avoid a nasty fall.It was pure Maya as in my mother tongue Kannada.
The next Maya as in my mother tongue was loosing my balance in our compound to stay balanced on my feet when I wanted Maya to have a 360 deg view of the surroundings without straining her neck.I did this Monkey trick to make her sleep but ended up loosing my balance on account of swirling too fast.I soon could not stand on my feet and holding Maya and falling down would have made me so stupid besides facing my son's fury far more powerful by words than action.
The only other Maya as in my mother tongue was when I tried to know her teeth if it was 2 or 4.
The bite of her teeth was so hard I was sure my finger would come bleeding from her teeth but it didn't and that was Maya indeed as in my mother tongue.Few more I remember are about Biscut Brother and SS Miya the stainless steel vessel vendor.

[ MADE IN AMERICA ]

" Made in America " if I had noticed perhaps I would have purchased few items but what I wanted was all made in:
China.
Korea.
Viet Nam.
Philippines.
Portuguese.
and few other nations, the " Buy America " problem is created by America and it has become a Galloping Cancer.
I think " BUY AMERICA " has to be a backdoor entry.Let it be made by means that Market would love to disply.

[ Seventy Five.]

Yes I am entering my 75th year and my age is 27,011 days.

The Flowers that I hold are my Diamonds sent by my Son in law.

What has 27,011 days done to me.?

That Life is 80:20.

That 80% of Life is Glory.

That 20% of Life you are SORRY.

I mention only 80%.

All the glory that I wanted in my chosen profession.

A wife who adores and loves me.

Two children I am proud in all respects who listened to me and my wife.

Me and my wife now listening to our children in our remaining years.

There were many up's and few down's in LIFE though.

Many Friends and relatives now disabled for reasons best known to them.

I called a Spade a Spade and got in a mess few times though.

Now I have to call a Spade Sweetheart. It doesn't matter anyways.

If I had a Sweet tongue, perhaps it would have helped.

But those days are gone for help and now I need help.

Who helps but my Children for any and all things.

Who helps in daily life but my Wife.

WIFE AND CHILDREN ARE MY LIFE.

" My Life and Wife ".

THIS IS MY BLOG.

Time to start my BUCKET LIST perhaps.
