[ Come to India - Walmart,Walgreens,Costsco,Home Depot,Tyco,TOTAL,Tom,Dick & Harry. ]

NEW DELHI: In a historic decision, the Union Cabinet on Friday cleared 51% foreign direct investment in multi-brand retail.

The Cabinet has also allowed FDI in aviation sector. Foreign airlines can now invest in Indian carriers.

The government also approved FDI in Broadcasting and Power Exchange.

In November last year, the same government had cleared this proposal but had to roll back the reform push following strong opposition to it from Mamata Banerjee, chief of Trinamool Congress which is a major constituent of the ruling UPA.

The government said that individual states will decide on the implementation of the move.

Earlier, when the government had okayed FDI in retail trade, it had done so with several preconditions attached to the liberalisation of the foreign investment policy regime.

The Manmohan Singh-led UPA government plans to gradually expose trade and industry to foreign investment so that the Indian industry can face this new challenge over time.

Proposals to permit FDI in multi-brand retail trading in all products, in a calibrated manner, are likely to be subject to the following conditions:

1. FDI in multi-brand retail may be permitted to the extent of 51 per cent with government approval.

2. Minimum amount to be brought in as FDI by a foreign investor would be around $100 million.

3. At least 30 per cent of the procurement of manufactured processed products shall be sourced from small industries, in the country, that have total investment in plant and machinery not exceeding $100 million.

4. The government will have the first right to procurement of agriculture products.

5. Fresh agricultural products, including fruits, vegetables, flowers, grains, pulses, fresh poultry, fishery and meal products may be unbranded.

6. At least 50 per cent of the total FDI brought in shall be invested in back-end infrastructure. Back-end infrastructure will entail capital expenditure on all activities, excluding that on front-end units.

For instance, back-end infrastructure will include investment made towards processing, manufacturing, distribution, design improvement, quality control, packaging, logistics, storage, warehouse, agriculture market produce, infrastructure, etc.

7. This valuation refers to the value at the time of installation without providing for depreciation.

8. Further, if at any point in time, this valuation is exceeded the industry shall not qualify as a small industry for this purpose.

9. Expenditure on land cost and rental, if any, will not be counted for purposes of back-end infrastructure.

10. Self-certification will be done by the company to ensure compliance of all the conditions.

11. Retail sales locations may be set up only in cities with a population of more than 10 lakh (1 million) as per 2011 Census and may also cover an area of 10 km around municipal urban agglomeration limits of such cities.

12. Retail locations will be restricted to areas as per the master zonal plans of the cities concerned and provisions will be made for requisite facilities such as transport connectivity and parking.

[ Aloe vera the Kitchen Garden Plant.]

Aloe vera, which is mostly used to treat various skin conditions and topically heal wounds, can be traced back to early Egypt where it was called the ‘plant of immortality.’

What is aloe vera?

Aloe vera, (pronounced alo vera) which is said to have originated from Africa, is a stem-less or very short-stemmed succulent plant with fleshy green leaves.

Aloe vera, which is also called the ‘burnt plant’ with its anti-inflammatory, anti-healing, healing and cooling properties, is the main ingredient in several skin care products. In addition, aloe vera is rich in amino acids, vitamins A, F, C and B.

For years researchers have been conducting studies to learn the benefits of aloe vera and have found that the plant does have properties that can be effective in treating several skin conditions, minor skin infections and also burns and wounds. Aloe vera gel is the transparent, juicy substance found in the long thick-skinned leaves of the plant. This gel is suitable for all skin types. Even people with sensitive skin can use the aloe vera gel.

Various uses of aloe vera.

Anti-aging agent: Aloe vera protects, nourishes and moisturizes your skin. According to a study published in the Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry magazine, aloe vera, when applied topically, improves the levels of collagen. Aloe vera also protects your face from developing fine lines.

Before going to bed, gently massage a thin layer of fresh aloe vera on your face, around the eyes and the corners of your mouth. This will keep your skin younger looking.

Aloe vera as moisturiser: Apply aloe vera on the skin before the application of make-up. This will prevent your skin from drying. Even men can use the aloe vera gel like an aftershave. The healing properties will help in treating the minor nicks and cuts caused while shaving. During winter your skin tends to dry more often. To keep your skin hydrated, make a mask by mixing equal parts of honey and aloe vera gel (pure extract from the plant) and apply on your face. Wash it off with warm water after 15 minutes for a glowing, soft skin.

Aloe vera for treating acne: For those suffering from acne, aloe vera with its anti-inflammatory properties is a blessing. According to a study conducted by the University of Maryland Medical Center, aloe vera gel has more anti-inflammatory properties than one percent of cortisone cream. It also has strong antibacterial properties, which will heal the skin quickly and naturally with very little scarring.

Aloe vera to reduce stretch marks: Want to get rid of those ugly stretch marks you gained due to weight gain or pregnancy? Hundreds of women try scores of cosmetics to hide these scars, but in vain. Stretch marks are nothing but tiny tears in the skin caused due to sudden and excessive stretching. Aloe vera gel can help you with that. Regular application of aloe vera gel helps in hiding these marks by healing the wounds.

Aloe vera for sunburns: Application of aloe vera gel on sun burns will reduce the pain as well as the swelling and keep your skin moisturised. Recovery will be quicker if your skin retains its moisture.

In addition, aloe vera also acts as a brightening gel by removing dead cells and keeps oiliness under check.

So go ahead and make aloe vera a part of your daily beauty regime for a glowing, supple and spotless skin!

[ I saw Paris.]

I did go to Paris and enjoyed my stay at the Air Port and stayed at the Air Port and was enjoying myself shaving with my pocket electric shaver which I had planed and purchased when my son told me that I will be flying via Paris and will have to wait some 14 hours to take my next flight.I was just enjoying my stay at the Air Port sitting on carpeted floor while my flight was getting ready for take off as I did not hear or ask any one when and where I had to board my flight as myself and my wife were on wheel chairs and it was the duty of the Air Lines the Air Line people searched me and found me and my wife squatting on the floor with our baggage and asked us if we are the passengers on flight number so and so when we said yes he heaved a sigh of relief and took us to the plane waiting for the missing passengers. At that point of time I had to do what my ticket said. That was because of the excitement of my first visit to a foreign country with my wife. After 2 visits now if I go anywhere it may be quite different as I have matured on going abroad. What I saw for now after some 15 years as I write this post is something else.My son was working in Paris and I thought he would stay there all his life.He excelled in his work, there was all possibility that he would get a job there and my wife and myself would go there to spend our evening life seeing Paris. That was the dream when my son told me that he was going to work in Paris when he returned from work one day long long ago.Lot of water has gone under the bridge and to write those past memories may look historic. My life and wife is my blog which will be a history some time or other. The blog itself is a history as days go and things change for better. There are few things that must get out of our system so we can breath slowly. These pictures that are in this post are the photos that my son took when he was in Paris and traveled to few places. There were many photos that he kept with us and never bothered to take them since he had no time to check if he had them on his album in his photo gallery which he is keeping on the Internet.Out of these hundreds of pictures I selected pictures those that were just pictures of places and had no persons were in these pictures. Most of the pictures were taken in Paris which were explained to me when he visited us.I kept them all these years in some place and forgot where I had kept them as i have a huge collection of photos. When I shifted to my new virgin home on a virgin land in a remote village I had to unpack and repack it was then that I got my hands on them and was thinking of making a CD of all the pictures. The problem was I had many CD also.I thought of including all the pictures of places in my painting and preserving them.It was then that I saw Paris in those pictures.

[ Depression.]

Reading on Depression
 Culprit: Social Media
Whether you're living with ADHD or just have trouble focusing from time to time, today's world is full of concentration killers. Psychologist Lucy Jo Palladino, PhD offers a few tips to manage distractions, starting with social media. It's easy to connect with friends -- and disconnect from work -- many times an hour. Every status update zaps your train of thought, forcing you to backtrack when you resume your work.

Social Media Fix
Avoid logging in to social media sites while you're working. If you feel compelled to check in every now and then, do it during breaks, when the steady stream of posts won't interrupt your concentration. If you can't resist logging in more frequently, take your laptop someplace where you won't have Internet access for a few hours.

Culprit: Email Overload
There's something about an email -- it shoots into your inbox and itches to be answered immediately. Although many emails are work-related, they still count as distractions from your current project. You won't make much progress if you constantly stop what you're doing to reply to every message.

Email Overload Fix
Instead of checking email continuously, set aside specific times for that purpose. During the rest of the day, you can actually shut down your email program. This allows you to carve out blocks of time when you can work uninterrupted.

Culprit: Your Cell Phone
Perhaps even more disruptive than the ping of an email is the ringtone on your cell phone. It's a sound few of us can ignore. But taking a call not only costs you the time you spend talking -- it can also cut off your momentum on the task at hand.

Cell Phone Fix
Put caller ID to good use. If you suspect the call is not urgent, let it go to voicemail. If you're working on a particularly intense project, consider silencing your phone so you're not tempted to answer. Choose specific times to check voicemail. Listening to all your messages at once can be less disruptive than taking every call as it comes in.

Culprit: Multitasking
If you've mastered the art of multitasking, you probably feel you're getting more done in less time. Think again, experts say. Research suggests you lose time whenever you shift your attention from one task to another. The end result is that doing three projects simultaneously usually takes longer than doing them one after the other.

Multitasking Fix
Whenever possible, devote your attention to one project at a time, particularly if you're working on an intense or high-priority task. Save your multitasking skills for chores that are not urgent or demanding -- it probably won't hurt to tidy up your desk while talking on the phone.

Culprit: Boredom
Some of the tasks we have to do each day are more interesting than others. The boring ones may burn through your attention span in minutes, making you extremely vulnerable to distractions. Your phone, the Internet, even the prospect of dusting your workspace can seem tempting if you're bored.

Boredom Fix
Make a deal with yourself: If you stay on task for a certain period of time, you earn a 10-minute break. Reward yourself with coffee, a favorite snack, or a walk outside. Boring tasks are easier to accomplish when you have something to look forward to. This is also one case where multitasking may work well. Listening to the radio while filing receipts could help you stay put long enough to finish the job.

Culprit: Nagging Thoughts
It's hard to focus on the work in front of you if you're worrying about errands you need to run or housework to be done. Or perhaps you're hung up on a conversation you had yesterday, and you keep replaying it in your mind. Nagging thoughts of any sort can be a powerful distraction.

Nagging Thoughts Fix
One way to keep nagging thoughts from buzzing around in your brain is to write them down. Make a list of errands, housework, or other tasks you plan to complete later. Vent frustrations over an unpleasant confrontation in your journal. Once these thoughts are on paper, you may be able to let them go for a while.

Culprit: Stress
When you feel like you have too much on your plate, it can be hard to focus on individual tasks. To make matters worse, stress takes a noticeable toll on the body. You may develop tight shoulders, headaches, or a racing heart, all of which can chip away at your ability to concentrate.

Stress Fix
Learn stress reduction techniques, such as meditation. This can help you rein in stressful thoughts, so they don't demand so much of your attention. In one study, researchers found that people who took an eight-week meditation course improved their ability to focus. If you can't find a meditation class locally, look for one online.

Culprit: Fatigue

Fatigue can make it tough to concentrate, even when you have few distractions. Studies suggest too little sleep can sap your attention span and short-term memory.

Fatigue Fix

Most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Instead of burning the midnight oil, make sleep a priority. This will help you get more done during your waking hours. Also, pay attention to which times of day you feel most alert. Then you'll know when to schedule your most intense tasks.

Culprit: Hunger

The brain can't focus without fuel, so skipping meals -- especially breakfast -- is a top concentration killer. Research indicates short-term memory and attention suffer when you rise and shine but do not dine.

Culprit: Depression

Most people tend to think of sadness as the hallmark of depression. But the National Institute of Mental Health says difficulty concentrating is one of the most common symptoms. If you're having trouble focusing, and you also feel empty, hopeless, or indifferent, you may be experiencing depression.

Depression Fix

If you think you might be depressed, the first step is to talk with a doctor or counselor. Depression is highly treatable. Many studies have shown the effectiveness of antidepressant medications and certain types of talk therapy.

Culprit: Medication

Unfortunately, some of the medications used to treat depression can interfere with concentration. The same is true of many other drugs. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist to check if a medication or supplement you are taking may be affecting your concentration.

Medication Fix

If you suspect your meds are clouding your concentration, don't assume there are no other options. Talk to your doctor about adjusting your dosage or switching to a different class of medication.

Culprit: ADHD

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is not just a problem for children. More than half of kids with ADHD continue to experience symptoms as adults. The classic signs are a short attention span and trouble focusing on tasks.

ADHD Fix

If you have consistent trouble focusing, and you had attention problems as a child, ask a doctor or counselor about ADHD. There are ways to manage the condition, including behavioral therapy and medications.

[ Most Costly Homes in India.]

Owning a house is every man’s dream. For a select few, just about any house won’t do, as owning the right kind of house that symbolizes their wealth, power, and status is elemental. These are the people who lead multinationals, earn big and spend big. They are leaders, decision makers, game changers, and mavericks who inspire. Their house is not just as big as their ego (ahem!); it is as loud and as minimalistic as their persona and is a mirror of their true self. One can be assured that only the very best will be found in their houses – the most expensive drapes, tiles, paintings, gadgets, fittings and so on. While most of us can dream and wish to own a house that big and opulent, what we sure can do is read up on and ogle at the houses of the high and mighty. Get ready for some architectural marvels that can cause some structured orgasms!

Sometimes, we feel that Mukesh Ambani has given every famous industrialist something to work on – their homes. Gautam Singhania is busy developing his colossal JK House in Breach Candy, Mumbai. By the looks of it, the home is 30 levels and has all the amenities and frills of a luxury home. It has separate living areas for all family members and a museum too. Will it dominate the skyline like Antilla does? Only time will tell!

1. Antilla.

This shouldn’t be a shock. Seriously, Mukesh Ambani has single-handedly changed and captured Mumbai’s skyline. No matter what part of South Mumbai you are in, you will see one column, floor, fixture of Antilla jutting out and mocking at the simple earthling that you are Mr. Reliance is reported to have spent a whopping $2 billion (don’t even bother to change that figure to INR, you will faint) on this 400,000 square feet, 27 floors.

2. NCPA Apartments.

Every month you will read in the newspapers how a flat in the NCPA Apartments at Nariman Point, Mumbai has been sold and bought for a truck-load of money. Sometimes a 4BHK is sold at Rs 97,842 per sq. ft. (Rs. 34 crores) and sometimes another one is sold at Rs. 29.5 crores. Mind you, most of these transactions happen when the economy and real estate market are experiencing a ‘slump’. Yea, right!

3. Mannat.

It is only befitting that the Badshaah of Bollywood lives in a house that suits his larger than life personality.. His dream home Mannat situated in Bandra is symbolic of his stature, power and enigma. In today’s market value, the cost of this home is around Rs. 70 – 100 crore. The only important thing to note here (from the perspective of King Khan, we assume) is that the money value of Mannat is more than that of Pratiksha (Amitabh Bachan)

4. Ratan Tata’s Bungalow.

Mr. Tata commands our respect. He is a man of few words, but immense class and style. His mansion in Colaba, Mumbai has all the facilities of a Billionaire’s home; sun deck, swimming pool, gym, lounge, media room and so on. The 13,350 square foot property has 7 levels and because of the man who calls this place his home, it surely falls into the category of exquisite and expensive homes in India.

5. JK House.

[ Let God Bless Mr.Ratan Tata's Home and make his long life happy.]

The Power Of Words Over Water Can water be affected by our words?
Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, believes so. And he has proof..

Dr. Emoto took water droplets, exposed them to various words, music, and environments, and froze them for three hours. He then examined the crystal formations under a dark field microscope. And he took photographs. The results were totally mind-blowing.

Here’s a photo of ordinary water without any prayer spoken over it. The molecular structure is in disarray.

The photo below is water after the prayer was said. It’s simply breathtaking. (I now have a great respect for praying before meals! More on this later.)

Dr. Emoto also exposed water to Heavy Metal music. Here’s how it looks like. Looks sad if you ask me.

Here’s water exposed to classical music and folk dance music.. Looks much better.

Next, Dr. Emoto stuck a piece of paper with these words: “You make me sick. I will kill you.” Here’s how the frozen water droplets looks like under the microscope.

Below is how water looked like with the words “Love” over it. The difference is amazing.

This is Polluted water…

This is water from Lourdes , France . Utterly beautiful, right?

Wait A Minute — Aren’t You Made Up Of Water? Yes! 72% of your body is made up of water. Imagine how your words affect your own body. When you say, “I’m a failure,” or “I’m hopeless,” or “I won’t get well,” imagine how these words weaken your health. Make a choice to say the best words out there. Say often, “I’m wonderful,” “I’m beautiful,” “I’m God’s child,” and “God has a great plan for my life!” It’s not only water.
Dr. Emoto also experimented with cooked rice. He placed one cup of cooked rice in two airtight jars. On one jar, he wrote, “I love you,” and on the other, “You fool.” Everyday for 30 days, Dr. Emoto would say these words to each jar of rice. After 30 days, the “I love you” rice was still white. But the “You fool” rice was so rotten, it was black. How can you explain this?

Just as a side note: When I was a child, my mother taught me to pray before meals. Now I realize it wasn’t just a nice thing to do. When I pray over my meal, I know a material transformation takes place in the molecular level of the food that I pray for. I say, “Be blessed,” to the water and food on the table—and I expect it to be blessed. I encourage you to speak words of truth. Dethrone the lies in your mind. Say, “I’m beautiful.” Say, “I’m a wonderful person.” Say, “I have a great future.” Say, “I’m anointed. I’m strong. I’m blessed.” Use your words to create your desired reality. May your dreams come true!
Gange cha Yamune chaiva Godavari Saraswati, Narmade Sindhu Kaveri jalesmin sannidhim kuru In this water, I invoke the presence of holy waters from the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, Godavari, Saraswati, Narmada Sindhu and Kaveri

[ Dr.Anthony Pais.Dr.Shilpy & Dr.Puvamma perform Gynacomastia surgery on me.]

I was afraid to show my breast to my Doctor since it was a thing not common in men and of my age

Dr.Manjunath Babu.,M D of Narayana Hrudayalaya saw my left breast with a lump under the nipple and advised me to show it to Dr.Antony Pais one of the best breast surgeons at Muzumdar Shah Cancer Center.

Dr.Anthony Pais saw my left breast nipple under which there was a lump and took immediate action to get a ultra sound test done for both the left and right breasts.

The Ultra Sound Scanner Machine showed a lesion with in the Lump.

The Doctor who did the ultra sound test said in his report that his impression was that 'An ill-defined irregular shaped hypoechoic solid lesion in the left retroaroeolar region - Recommended BIRADS IV and FNAC correlation. That Recommendation nailed me.
I had to have a sample to be drawn for Biopsy test.

The Biopsy sample was drawn by Dr.Anthony Pais immediately. It was 9 days of sleepless nights with sleeping pills that I had to endure to get the result and I was declared 90% out of danger.I asked the Doctor if I can take it as 100% but he said a flat NO.I wanted 100% and he said get the entire thing out by surgery and may be you will be Lucky to get 100%.So I had to under go surgery. The day was fixed and my kids were not informed of my surgery as the Biopsy test has declared my Gynaecomastia was 90% free from any malignancy. My son had told it was a cosmetic surgery done as a procedure in the hospital where his wife was a Doctor.

My wife was with me and that was enough for me as I knew her presence was the only thing I wished if something went wrong.By Gods grace nothing went wrong.

I saw at the sample in the glass bottle and was wondering how a hair size sample can give as out of danger by 90%. This made me go in for surgery. With worried look on her face my wife sent me in to the Operating Theater.

My Wife took this picture as Dr.Shilpy came to take me to the OT.

The surgery took 90 minutes and the full lump was taken out from under my Left breast nipple. My wife took a picture of it.

The sample was sent for Biopsy and I had to wait 9 days to get the result with sleepless nights even with sleeping pills.

A cut closed and a tube to get the blood accumulated inside the cut with a bag I was out wondering when my pain will start. There was no pain which was a surprise.

I was in the hospital for 6 days very well looked after by Dr.Anthony Pais and his team of Doctors and Nursing staff at MUZUMDAR SHAH Cancer Center.

The Biopsy of the entire lesion in thelump showed that there was no evidence of Malignancy.

Good Bye to you dear Doctors I am 100% out of danger by Gods grace.
