More than 100 days myself and my wife home quarantined but both were having doubts about infection so we never allowed any one to enter our home except our domestic helper.
Bangalore was bursting with the news that almost every house was aware of which house had a Covid 19 patient male or female.We were informed by our son that we must be prepared to face the pendomic and to take care of any temp increase of our body as also the oxymeter readings.
I was sure my 4 months of self qurentine from Febravery till April would protect me and my wife. I got instructions from my son and daughter how this COVID 19 would show up.
Oh yes I had it, It was 29th July 2020 after good sleep overnight when I woke up in the morning it was not as usual as I felt weak. I did not go for a walk, my wife was fine we both had lunch and in the evening I felt very warm kept my palm on my forehead it
was indeed hot. I took a tablet of Dolo 650 and the temperature had gone shortly after afterwards. I could sleep nicely in the night.
Next day there was no temperature but there was pain in my thighs so did not walk in the evening, took tiffen 2 idli's. It was back
the temperature on my fore head. I wanted to take temperature but the 3 year old battery had lost charge. I ordered online a new Thermometers, deliver was after 6 days, all local stores were closed due to lock down. Took 2 tablets of Aswagandha and 1 tablet of Zollfresh 5mg temperature had gone. I was feeling OK my wife was also OK. I was wondering if I had to go for COVID 19 Test.My son had told me earlier these signs which I had were of COVID 19. Our son was informed late in the night he just told us to wait and rang up again to tell us that People from MANIPAL HOSPITAL would come in the morning or noon and take SWAB'S of inside Nose and mouth of me and my wife and the test results will come in the evening
The Results came in the evening and our Son told us it was Positive. He informed us to wait and he would arrange two bed in some good hospital. I was very disturbed how can he get a good hospital when there were no beds available in any private hospital and all govt hospitals were full. Govt was converting Exhibition Grounds and Stadiums to Hospitals. No idea we would get a good hospital or even two beds anywhere but must be for 2 of us side by side. That was not possible as for Lady's the ward was separate
3rd Monday 2020, My son phoned to us that a good multi specialty hospital had allotted a bed in a special room in their hospital
about 5 KM from our house and had all the medical staff trained and treating patients who had all required infra also in the hospital. I had told our son that hospitals admit only people with Ambulance and no private cars were allowed. He had arranged a hospital taxi also with the kind permission from the MD of the hospital.The next 2 days COVED-19 Profile test was started. The next day our treatment was also started.It was on this day that the foundation stone for RAM MANDHIR at AYODYA was laid by the PRIME MINISTER of INDIA Sri.MODI I was happy as this was done after nearly 500 years ago as dispute by minority community had gone against this work and the dispute went on and on for generations after generation.The hospital had sent the Ambulance and our hospital stay was comfortable.However there was monitoring round the clock on our progress by tests, Xrays and CT Scans.
Myself had the infection first even though I was under self quarwntine for more than 3 months. They had to take no chances in my wife's case and the protocole was not deviated and she continued with treatment simultaneously on her bed all the 15+ days.
