I was working as a Production Manager in MSK mills at Gulbarga. A decision was taken at the HO in Bangalore to post a suitable General Manager to Mysore Spg & Mfg. Mills at Bangalore as it was in a mess and the GM had resigned and post was vacant, the Directors and CMD took a decision to post me here at Mysore Mills but not as GM and I did not know it. However I rushed and took over as Production Manager and Mill Manager since previous day, The Finance Manager of the mill was given charge as Acting General Manager. There was a fear that since my order was on telephone I would come and sit in General Manager's Office. I was given this information in the mill by the Civil Engineer. I took the information and kept quite. The Mess was cleared and Mill was running so nicely workers appreciated my moves and co-operated fully. The Technical Director too was happy I had completed 9 months.
Soon I was selected as GM of a Mill in NTC (North) Bombay and requested for transfer. The CMD took the decision to Post me to Parvathi Mill at Quilon as that Mill was a Mess. I joined the Mills and took over from the out going GM who had resigned and was waiting for my arrival. I continued in this mills for nearly 3+ years after the Mill was adjudged as the Best Mills. I was transferred but the entire mill went direct to NTC Holding Company and cancelled my transfer order however I was again transferred from this Mills to Sri Yellamma Cotton Woolen and Silk Mills as this Mill was in a Mess spinning only cotton yarn.
I joined Yellamma Mills and with in 9 months it was the best Spinning Mills among all spinning mills
Spinning cotton, Polyester Blends, Synthetic Woolen and Silk Cotton Blends which none of the 111 mills in the group was able to do.
I worked in this mill for 9 years and was transferred to Azam Jahi Spg & Weg Mills at Warangal in Hyderabad as that Mill was in a Big Mess. This was the biggest Mill of our group and worst managed not only by the various GM's but also by the HO which had several CMD's but same Directors who controlled all the Mills in the Group. 16 Spinning Mills spread over Karnataka, Andhra, Kerala and Mahe (UT).When I quit this mill the entire mill was stopped and all the workers had surrounded my mill and never wanted me to go. The efforts I had put in was highly appreciated by all workers when Weaving Efficiency Improved from 50% to 85% and fabric Export was cleared with out rejections and goods lying unsold were sold with better price by making it in other forms and selling it in mills show rooms and giving a New look to mill by just painting. Spinning Machines overhauled with new spares increased quality and production. Workers were paid wages on spot at work place and getting the MILL CLEANED nooks and corners, windows and doors, walls and pillars, floors and celling's, planting tree saplings DAY & NIGHT. All this work was done with and with out any dam procedures by the bureaucratic system, this made the my seniors and fellow GM's and the stupid CMD a IAS officer who turned very jealous and I quit due pressure by Stupid CMD who refused to visit the mills to see the SEA Changes in the mill, due to these politics and baseless complaints I decided to Quit but I continued working in private Textile Mills till I reached my super Age of 75 Years after I commissioned a Technical Textile Mill from Foundation to Commission and ran the mill. I did not do any consultation work as this profession I disliked seeing a few consultants who come and advised me which was useless suggestion's practically of no use. These people had never worked in any Mills as Chief Executives and I liked nothing better than being a retired jobless textile man. I took up working on a project to commission a Technical Textile University & Deemed Research Institute with a Fully running Technical Textile Mill producing every thing under Technical Textiles on a project costing, Rs.20,999,99,999/-
