[ What has changed - from Copenhagen.]

Copenhagen and we have had all media spend all their money and gave us a Change.World leaders are thinking us as stupids and our intellectuals keep silent and helpless.

[ My Home 12.]

I have eleven posts on this topic and this is the 12th and perhaps more to follow as and when I feel I have few things to say.My Home is a very sweet word to me,so sweet that I am diabetic.A diabetic has to stay in his home for various reasons.The food for a diabetic is unusual and not cooked normally in many houses.he has his own menu card found only in few hotels.There are no exclusive hotels for diabetics though.In My Home,My Wife can only eat the diet that is prepared for me,she would and she can eat the diet of non diabetics but sacrifices her needs and taste for my sake a tough choice for her.
It is just not the diet that is boring sometimes but the frequency of meal times which again is another extra unusual.The normal lunch gets divided in to two and the night food is no meal but half meal with bedtime milk.
I cannot expect such Royal Luxury in a hotel let alone a friends or a relative's home as a Guest.
Travel is out of bounds for diabetics who are not filthy rich.Its only for the filthy rich and politicians.Our Prime Minister is a diabetic who can travel with team of Doctors all specialists in functioning of human body parts and the machines intricate unseen parts.
A middle class citizen who is neither rich though not filthy rich or poor though not below poverty line as defined by our Democratic Government as the one who cannot afford to even get the medical tests done properly.A test done in one Medical Diagnostic Center will not show the same result as other.Even a Diabetic Specialist Doctor's view of a report will not be the same as another and so also the drugs that a doctor prescribes same as other doctor in the same road.
Its in your home you can enjoy your blood glucose level being kept under control and keeping trust in your doctor.Its My Home that's my heaven on earth.I can keep my things where ever I want.I can find anything I want that I would have kept some where sometime but difficult immediately some times to my wife's annoyance.I can clean anything even my toilet.I can throw away anything that I have the birth right to throw away anything.
My Home is a place where there are my life time achievement of Junks that are very special to me.They are my sweetest memories as long as I can have them kept safe.What happens to them after I am gone doesn't bother me.How do I know if I remember them in another place unknown to me.When I see a museum I wish I could keep my Junk like that in wooden cupboards with glass doors.
Just last week I visited our proud Government Owned World Famous MYSORE SANDAL WOOD SOAP FACTORY,there I saw my college professor's photo in the museum.He was the adopted son of the then Princely State of Mysore,Dewan Sir.M.Visweswaraiah who made the project and implemented it and my professor and his wife with their children were in that picture.This is a factory 100 years old and has a museum.This is the type I had in my mind for my Junk.Do not :-D
The Books my children have left here is special to me and is priceless.
The Yearly Diary's,note books,magazines in which my name is found and my old gifts given on so many occasions,my textile fabrics made by me which created more foes than friends as they could not produce them like Technical Textile Yarn I made 30 years back was a challenge.
My wedding gifts that my parents in law gave me is no junk as we cooked our food for our first meal after our marriage in them.They are made of Brass with a coating of lead alloy inside it is now a show piece with vegetable dishes in 5 star hotels.
My Wedding suit is missing my wife must have given it in exchange for a new vessel as my body was much bigger after marriage,these clothes were pigmy for me.
I can set up a museum now but it won't be a Government Heritage Museum to be kept.Here in India if you lock up your room and return after a few weeks you will keep crying for a long time till the police say we will get it for you.What they meant was they will get it for them.That's how burglars and thieves work.Some cannot be caught even though the police find as they are police informers.The plight of two wheeler owners is same.The thieves have learn t all in the film GONE IN 60 SECONDS

Dear Son
On your Birth Day we went to ICKCON Lord Krishna Temple at 7.00 AM.The Pooja was grand and Darshan was a feast to our Eyes.The Breakfast was Poori with mouth watering Vegetable Curry,Laddu,Avalakki with coconut Chutney unlimited servings with out asking.
It was over in one Hour pooja,after words we were served with breakfast and it was 9.30 AM when we finished eating and we came home and took the above snap.

This is not My Home but a Home I immensely liked when my son took me there.It is open to visitors.This Home of a Shipping Millionaire of second World War which is preserved as a Heritage site with Gardens of various Flowers and the Rose Garden is as far as your eye sight goes,It has a Kitchen which is in the same condition as it was when people lived there.Tables in Ball Room with Table Linen is even kept spot less white with Embroidered color threads.Every thing is big like the Country.It was interesting to see the Watch Room kept inside the Mansion ( it cannot be called a Home any more ).If you are in SF do visit " Filoli Gardens "Located 30 miles south of San Francisco, Filoli is an historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and one of the finest remaining country estates of the early 20th century. [ My Home 10.]

In INDIA it's a dream to have a Home on wheels,no harm in dreaming " MY HOME ON WHEELS " and of course a big bank balance another dream,dreams may not come as you wish,efforts can.What indeed is our real dream.After you come out from your college with a Diploma or a Degree your first dream is a study good Job with whatever pay you get.Then it's your pay you need a raise and there is no chance you will get in your present Job.So next thing you dream of changing your Job.In your efforts you will succeed but your parents have a dream too.You got to listen to them or if they keep mum you do select a girl and just inform your parents.They have no choice and you get married.Now the dream gets doubled with your wife's included compulsorily.Then your kids come from your efforts in entertaining yourself.The dreams now are so big,you will forget or miss-plan,your efforts increase,so also the demands form sources you were responsible one way or the other.What are your dreams at this stage.?May be if you are lucky your dreams come true.So why not dream.?Now I dream knowing it's too late as my life's mission is complete and am considered as Excess Baggage.But still no harm in dreaming it's not being greedy or not contented with whatever that I got,when unwanted dreams come why not dream wanted dreams.The picture is my dream though.

The other day I was sitting in my Veranda looking at the garden looked after by my wife and thinking of how to put a fountain in the middle of the lawn when a young man came and stood in front of my home.The conversation went like this:-
Me- Hello who are you.?
He- Sir,I am from the Cell phone Tower Company.
Me- What do you want.?
He- I want to check your Home for Pillers.
Me- We do not have pillers.
He- O K Sir,I will just take a reading.
Me- What reading.?
He- GPS Reading.
Me- How do you do that.?
He- This GPS Tracker - Sir, he said and pulled out a Cell phone like instrument and did some settings on the dials provided and told me that My Home is located at:-
North - 12.97815 latitude
East - 077.549 longitude.
He said the meter is also showing that my home is 1.6 Kilometers from the other point which was his Base Point for location of any new Towers.The instrument he said is connected to a satellite and would show MY Home's distance on land from any place on Earth by setting on the instrument the readings that were shown at the place at MY HOME.
So I got one more ID for my home other than those that I mentioned in my 'MY HOME' postings.
I forgot to note the name of the instrument or ask him any question on the instrument,I just took the reading on my pad and was happy with the New ID for MY HOME.

A life-like clay model of Lord Ganesha is made 2-3 months prior to the day of Ganesh Chaturthi. The size of this idol may vary from 3/4th of an inch to over 25 feet.On the day of the festival, it is placed on raised platforms in homes or in elaborately decorated outdoor tents for people to view and pay their homage. The priest, usually clad in red silk dhoti and shawl, then invokes life into the idol amidst the chanting of mantras. This ritual is the pranapratishhtha. After this the shhodashopachara (16 ways of paying tribute) follows. Coconut, jaggery, 21 modakas (rice flour preparation) , 21 durva (trefoil) blades and red flowers are offered. The idol is anointed with red unguent (rakta chandan). Throughout the ceremony, Vedic hymns from the Rig Veda and Ganapati Atharva Shirsha Upanishad, and Ganesha stotra from the Narada Purana are chanted.

For 10 days, from Bhadrapad Shudh Chaturthi to the Ananta Chaturdashi, Ganesha is worshipped.

On the 11th day, the image is taken through the streets in a procession accompanied with dancing, singing, to be immersed in a river or the sea symbolizing a ritual see-off of the Lord in his journey towards his abode in Kailash while taking away with him the misfortunes of all man. All join in this final procession shouting “Ganapathi Bappa Morya, Purchya Varshi Laukariya” (O father Ganesha, come again early next year). After the final offering of coconuts, flowers and camphor is made, people carry the idol to the river to immerse it.The whole community comes to worship Ganesha in beautifully done tents. These also serve as the venue for free medical checkup, blood donation camps, charity for the poor, dramatic performances, films, devotional songs, etc. During the days of the festival.

Swami Sivananda Recommends
On the Ganesh Chaturthi day, meditate on the stories connected with Lord Ganesha early in the morning, during the Brahmamuhurta period. Then, after taking a bath, go to the temple and do the prayers of Lord Ganesha. Offer Him some coconut and sweet pudding. Pray with faith and devotion that He may remove all the obstacles that you experience on the spiritual path. Worship Him at home, too. You can get the assistance of a pundit. Have an image of Lord Ganesha in your
House. Feel His Presence in it.

Don’t forget not to look at the moon on that day; remember that it behaved unbecomingly towards the Lord. This really means avoid the company of all those who have no faith in God, and who deride God, your Guru and religion, from this very day.

Take fresh spiritual resolves and pray to Lord Ganesha for inner spiritual strength to attain success in all your undertakings.

May the blessings of Sri Ganesha be upon you all! May He remove all the obstacles that stand in your spiritual path! May He bestow on you all material prosperity as well as liberation!

Just keeping a Computer and trying to learn by yourself may look like a electric typewriter with special features.The option like editing and deleting words and even sentences makes us forget the use of correction pen that is used in documents and on type writer machines.Only on the looks of the keypad things look familiar.People who are using a computer know how much they know of this wonder machine.The painting is the same you can't make out what it is.

My Home has a number not one but two.
Why two for one Home.?
One for Post Office.
One for Property ID.
With out the property ID you cannot get anything from the Electricity or Water and Sewage Connections.
You cannot pay the Tax on your property with out the Property ID.
There are other numbers also like your phone number of Land Line,Mobile Phone number,Your Car Registration number,one more is the page number and serial number on the voters list.If you do not know these numbers you cannot cast your vote.Here it's magic.Just wait for the elections to come and you will be provided with these numbers on your door step freely,even without your asking.The candidates who stands for election have volunteers coming to your doors with their mouth wide open smiling and deliver this number.It's the other way for Slum dwellers who have no property ID nor they pay property tax but get paid on these election days with their voter page number and serial number along with some crisp sounding paper.We are supposed to vote once after 4 years but that does not happen.Some part of the country is in election mode every year.They say it's our Democratic way of life.This is Incredible India.
Now we have Mr.Nandan Nilekani as the Chairperson of Unique ID Authority of India and he will allot another number like perhaps your credit card number which you can never remember as you will have more than one card or less than 6 cards.Credit cards have only numbers unlike your PAN card which has English alphabets sprinkled in between numbers.I don't know how it's in USA there no one tells even how many numbers in their number.The other numbers which are many and for which you have a diary maintained and look up when needed.

I was born here.

I got married here to a Bangalore girl.

My first Son was born here.

It was in Bangalore that I completed my full education up to pre University earlier called during our time as Intermediate University education of two year duration to enter any professional course.Any of the courses required a minimum of 40% marks in all the subjects for admission and 35% for a pass.This was not possible for me.So I entered a undergraduate course and took a Diploma in Textile Technology and secured a Govt of India scholarship for on hand compulsory training in the textile mill for six months to secure a Diploma certificate on completion of training. I was allotted one of the largest group of mills in Asia at Madura as I was the second best student of the 3 and half year course.I had to leave My Home Bangalore for the next forty years of my life,except for a year's honey moon in Mysore Mills now a Mighty huge Apartment Complex.The Mill provided jobs now it's space provides Flats.

If you visit Gokarna as a tourist you need to carry a bottle of drinking water as there is no good restaurant to give you filtered water.What do you do with a empty bottle when you visit the beach.There is no container for such thing provided by the authorities.Is it the Tasildar.If he is there he is sleeping.So what do you do with the empty bottle,throw it and the waves collect them and sends it to it's own container the picture shown in this post above and below.

This is not Gokarna but world Famous Jog Falls on the way looking waterless as three other falls next to the one trickling now called 'Roarer' but no roar only purr we are taking breakfast at Honnavar a beauty spot in west coast of India full of ever green forests.More picture fallow.The picture in the middle is the Govt Guest House at Jog Falls which is mostly reserved for our Netha's ( Politicians and Bureaucrats. )

Where is your house my old friend who met me at a meeting I attended asked me,I gave him my card and told him here is my home.
How can my home be in my card,that was not what my friend asked.
Oh,you a Ex MD of a textile mill he shot back.
I just smiled and he also smiled and he said you a blogger too.
I nodded my head and he asked me what else do I do.
Now I reminded him that he wanted to know where is my home.
Oh yes I know this place,I called a auto and told him to take me to my home since he knew where it was.
I sat in the auto and told him to get in,we were 5 KM away from my home and it was just 20 minutes ride,my friend could not locate my house even after 45 minutes.
In Bangalore it's not that easy to locate any place ( a home of course ) if you do not know how to go from one place to another.
Even those of my friends who do know my home come only on a function and do not visit frequently.
How to make any one to locate your home.?
Land Mark.My Home needs a land mark.
No problem I followed my instinct and created a Google Map which I propose to print in my Card once the present card gets exhausted.
So my home is a Google dot.
What else can my home be,?
